Q: Do flavored coffee beans have carbs/calories?
I'm not talking about coffee drinks, but if you make coffee with flavored beans, what's the story on that?
A: According to Dunkin' Donuts:
10 oz of either Hazelnut, French Vanilla, Chocolate or Cinnamon Coffees each have 20 calories and 4 g. carbs.
10 oz of regular coffee has 15 calories and 3 g. carbs.
Those are all before adding dairy product or sweeteners.
I hope that answered your question thoroughly.
Q: Are there calories in flavored coffee beans?
Sure, there are calories in those liquid additives for flavor, but what about flavored coffee beans? Are there added sugars and calories in the coffees that have sweet and weird flavors after you brew them?
A: There are no more calories in flavored coffee beans than there are in regular coffee beans.
there are about 5 calories per 12 ounces of black coffee (more if you add cream, sugar...etc.), regardless of whether it comes from regualar grounds or flavored grounds.
Isnt that cool!? you can mix it up & try different blends without worrying about adding more calories to your diet! I love that!

Q: Can you make flavored coffee at home without flavored beans or flavored creamers?
A: There are lots of ways to flavour coffee...
I make a chocolate flavour cappuchino...Make a cup of instant coffee (or brew normal coffee) Add a heaping teaspoon of instant cocoa (per cup) and your normal creamer (or milk) Stir well.
Brew your coffee normally, add a piece of orange peel and let it "infuse" for a few minutes (or use a little grated orange peel).
Boil water with a stick of cinnamon in it, then use it to brew your coffee.
Add one or two drops of vanilla extract to your pot of coffee
Or add the same amount of almond extract...
Sweeten your coffee with brown sugar instead of white and add a pinch of ground cloves...
Use your imagination, you might come up with some yummy combinations!

Q: flavored ground coffee calories?
do flavored coffees like Seattle's Best Cinnabon flavored coffee or Dunkin Donuts French-Vanilla flavored coffee have calories in them? And i don't mean buying a cup, i mean buying a bag of the coffee beans or the ground coffee? thanks a bunch if you can give me any info or a website with nutrition data.
A: I wondered the same thing and I called Seattle's best. The Cinnabon has only 1.3 calories per serving, so it's pretty negligible.
Q: the flavored coffee beans/brewed drinks...?
ok lke when i go somewhere and they have flavored coffee...like french vanilla, hazelnut, and mocha, do they contain more than 5 calories in then(thats how much is in regular coffee) or do the the actual coffee beans have more calories! idk...there is a CoGos and giant eagle near my house that always have those flavors and i want some but idk if there are more calories or not...same if i actually buyed the beans(which i cant actually)
oh and another random thing...you know the canned pumpkin that is sold? well, does it taste like pumpkin pie? or is it a different thing than the pumpkin pie filling...i wanna know if the canned pumpkin is the same or not
A: Yes, the flavors that are added to coffees have way more than 5 calories per serving--and they are loaded with sugar. The coffee beans don't have that many calories themselves, but once you start adding creamer, sugar, and flavors, the calories add up really fast. I don't know exactly how many calories are in each kind of drink, but keep in mind what ingredients are in each type of drink:
*Mochas= chocolate sauce (lots of sugar), espresso (coffee beans), and steamed milk
*Flavored Lattés= espresso, steamed milk, and flavoring (aka sugar!)
I wouldn't drink these flavored coffees on a regular basis unless you get them made with skim milk and/or sugar free flavors. Otherwise, you'd be ingesting a LOT of sugar and calories everyday. They are delicious though!!
Q: how do coffee roasters flavor the beans?
I want to learn how to flavor coffee beans.
A: Very good question. I enjoyed reading about this.
http://www.enotes.com/how-products-encyclopedia/flavored-coffee-bean
"Flavors are typically added to roasted beans before they are ground. The beans are placed in a large mixer which is specially designed to gently tumble the beans without causing them damage. Examples of this type of mixer include ribbon blenders, drum rotators, and candy pan coaters. The flavors are usually introduced via a pressurized spray mechanism which breaks the oils into tiny droplets which allows for better mixing. Oils must be added to the beans very gradually to guard against areas of highly concentrated flavor called hot spots. The beans are agitated for a set amount of time to ensure the flavor is evenly spread. This process may take 15-30 minutes, depending on the batch size and mixing characteristics of the oil. When the beans are properly coated, they take on a glossy finish that indicates a uniform distribution of oils."
EDIT:
I missed that you wanted to do this yourself. Unless you want to get into home roasting, it's best to flavor your coffee with syrups or extracts after you brew it at home.
Q: Calories in Ground Flavored Coffee?
Okay, so I made 8 ounces of coffee using caramel flavored gound coffee beans. I didn't use any creamers, milk, or sugar. How many calories would you say that was?

Q: Has anyone seen gingerbread flavored coffee grounds or beans in the stores yet ?
I'm trying to find this flavor in the Phoenix area.

Q: What's your favorite coffee bean brew?
Mine is Sumatra's Blue Batak bean!
Also coffee company Lola Savannah makes an Arabia flavor they call Hawaiian Grog which is really excellent. I have always wondered why they didn't use a Hawaiian coffee bean for this flavor.
A: It's a tie between Sumatran and Mocha Java. Viennese isn't bad either.
Q: How best would you make chocolate flavored coffee?
I want to brew my usual iced coffee but with a slight chocolatey after taste. In other words I don't want the whole cup to taste like chocolate, just a little bit. There are 3 ways I know of to go here by using....
A. Chocolate flavored coffee beans
B. Cocoa powder
C. Chocolate syrup
I don't want to have something that will float to the bottom and have to constanty stir the cup so I'm thinking chocolate beans are the way to go but have never tried it. Anyone have advice on which is best and which brands to use?
A: Yes the beans would be best for a whole brewed pot. But for a quick fix I use Ovaltine or hot chocolate mix stirred into a regular cup. I like coffee mate in there too. It will do for a cup at a time. . But it will separate unfortunately. You can also stir in a couple drops of vanilla for another flavor.
Here is a syrup recipe: http://www.recipezaar.com/154368
Now here are a lot of different flavored ice coffee ideas you can try besides chocolate or vanilla.: http://chocolate.cdkitchen.com/recipes/cat/954/0.shtml
