Q: What does the coffee cup with the two arrows circling around it mean?
Sometimes when I try to load things a coffee cup comes up. Usually it's on things that have flash or animation in it. Could anyone explain what it means and how to get rid of it?
A: The coffee cup is the JAVA logo which is a type of programming language. It means that it is loading a JAVA Program and no you can't get rid of it
Q: Who else hates the way all these new coffee joints serve bad coffee in a paper cup?
Why are they so popular? Gloria Jeans in particular seems to always serve bad coffee, with burnt milk but everyone loves it. I don't get it. And why must they serve it in a paper cup even when you're not taking-away? - it's wasteful of paper, creating litter and is not as nice to drink out of. I just wanted to know if anybody else misses a good old proper solid coffee cup with a decent coffee in it instead of a paper cup with $#it coffee in it.
I live in Australia, Gloria Jeans is very much like Starbucks which are popping up everywhere here too... Grrr
A: Death to Starbucks!
Q: How much energy is used to produce a disposable coffee cup, such as a Tim Horton's cup?
A coffee cup has two parts - the lid and the cup itself. The cups I am interested in have a layer of polyethylene to make them more heat resistant. I am looking for answers to figure out the amount of energy needed to manufacture the cup for an environmental project. Please do not worry about the lid.
A: There's a chart on p.5 you might find useful.
Q: How does a drop of coffee bead up on and float in a hot cup with milk/cream?
When I get a fresh cup of coffee and add milk/cream- sometimes when I take my spoon out (after stirring) and a drop of coffee from the spoon falls onto the coffee- the dropped coffee beads up and dances on the top of the coffee cup. Why is that? Is there a difference in surface tension for coffee and cream? Or is it related to the heat?
A: The fat in the cream is non-polar. The water is polar. So the cream tends to stick to itself and bead up. Surface tension is a measure of its tendency to do that.
Q: How do I clean my stainless steel coffee cup?
I have a portable coffee cup that I love, but it is beginning to smell like mildew. Yuck! It makes my morning cup of tea not so pleasurable. Anyone have any suggestions on how to clean it? I tried soap and water, but the soap smell just mixed with the mildew smell.
A: I assume this must be a covered cup that you can't reach inside very easily to clean out. If you want a method that doesn't use harsh or poisonous chemicals then take a handful of sand, regular old sand from a beach or sand box. add some water, close the cup. and shake vigorously for a minute. Then rinse it out. You can follow up with soap and water if your not comfortable about the idea of outdoor sand, but it's really not necessary especially since you seem to be mostly ok with drinking out of a cup with mildew. I actually appreciate the fact that you do.
Q: How do you clean a metallic coffee cup?
I have a coffee cup that I sometimes put tea in or hot chocolate but even if I clean it it still smells and tastes like tea. Any suggestions of how to get the taste out?
A: Fill it about 2/3 of the way with hot water, add a heaping TBSP of baking soda and fill the rest of the way with white vinegar. Let it sit for an hour; wash and rinse with hot water. Repeat if necessary. I would not use comet or ajax as it is poisonous, even if rinsed, you could still leave traces of it.
Q: What does the coffee cup on my Razr mean?
On my Motorola Razr I had a pic of a coffee cup show up next to my ring style indicator. What does this mean?
A: The coffee cup is the Java symbol (www.java.com). It is a computer coding language. It means a java application is running (like a game or something). Make sure you exit the application properly and this will go away. If you are in a game or something and you just shut the phone, the program will still be running, you just won't be able to see it. That's what the coffee cup is.
Q: What does the coffee cup icon mean on my mobile phone?
Have you got a little coffee cup icon at the top of your screen on your mobile phone? mine is always there - what does it mean!
A: I am pretty sure it means you have a java enabled phone. Java is a program that lets you play online games on the Internet through your comp or phone.
Q: How do you hold your coffee cup?
Do you hold your coffee cup with the handle, or do you juist hold the cup (with the handle facing out)?
A: I hold the handle, my botfriend is getting a degree in ceramics so I have him make the handles on my cups so that they fit my small hands good.
Q: How can I get a "soapy" taste out of a plastic coffee cup?
I am in real trouble. I used my wife's favorite coffee cup (really a plastic 12 ounce beer stein) to soak some dirty flatware over night in a detergent solution and now even though we have washed it in the dishwasher she still tastes the detergent.
A: Soak it in hot water & baking soda.
Q: How much ounces of water is in a coffee cup?
How much water can a coffee cup hold? How about a tea cup?
Not a coffee mug.
A: this is for the muscle milk isnt it
just say until the mixture is not thick although it really doesn't matter
Q: I just broke the coffee cup holder built into my PC, what do I do?
Hi, I pressed the button on my lap top which opens the DC sized coffee cup holder, I stuck my small latte in, and then it's closed and the coffee has gone everywhere ... it's broken now
what can I do? take it back to the shop?
A: you can still use it - just pour your coffee granules into the USB (ultra sweet beverage) port and the computer will brew up a fresh batch and dispense it through your printer.
Q: Is there anything better than krazy glue to glue together the broken handle of a souvenir coffee cup?
I bought a coffee cup when I was on vacation. The ceramic handle broke in 4 places. I'm in the process of gluing it back together with krazy glue. BUT, I'm wondering if there's a better product out there to fix it with. I do not want it to fall apart with a hot beverage in it once it is repaired. Has anyone had long-term success with a product (or technique) that they can recommend? Thanks! ;)
A: E3000 glue works real well, and the best part, it has some 'give', meaning unlike crazy glue that dries stiff.. this is a little better.. now keep in mind, if will not be perfect, but i like it better than crazy glue. its clear going on and it dries clear.. its a thick gel, so you made need to cut of excess after it dries (from around the edges, with an x-acto knife)
you can get it at any craft store... its a gray tube.
good luck
Q: where can I find a coffee cup/mug in the shape of 3" or 4" garden pot?
coffee cup or mug
shape of flower pot 3" or 4"
who makes this product
where can I buy this product
A: I bought a couple at the local Family Dollar store.
Q: How do you engrave a coffee cup?
I want to start a business engraving coffee cups. I read somewhere you need to use a "sandblast" machine, but know nothing about it. Do you know of any good sites with info, manuals or products? I am really lost and dont know where to start. Thanks!
A: I watched an artisan at work one afternoon at a Juried Art Fair.
He had a flat glass of about 30"X30" with chipped edges. I had given him a computer generated plaque to sand blast to the glass. His process was similiar to a silk-
screening process that left the subject matter, lettering and graphics in their original design but the rest of the negative was rendered blank and open for etching.
He made a negative out of the original plaque and secured it to the glass.
He applied the negative to the glass, put it in a large metal box with a window in it and reached through two holes with arm socks and gloves. He then took up the sandblaster nozzle. Within 10 minutes he had etched the original plaque on the glass that would test the sands of time and any other weather South Florida could throw at it.
So it looks like you are going to need the computer to do your design and creation work; a good copier for original graphics; some source for this negative making material it is rubber like but thin; a sandblasting system as large as your product is going to be.
My cost, as a 501(c)(3) was $300 USD, he didn't charge me for any design or set-up which would have been an additional $75.
