Q: Can you make less than 10 cups in a 10 cup Coffee maker?
I don't like wasting coffee, but BUNN does not make a 5 cup coffee maker...
Can't you just put in less coffee gounds and less water, and still brew coffee the same?
A: Yes, you most definitely can! Just measure the amounts of cups of coffee you would like and fill up the back with some water using the mug you will be using. Then, you won't waste and you have the perfect amount.
Q: Has anyone used the Kalorik 10 cup coffee maker?

Q: Is it possible to make a really good cup of coffee with a regular coffee maker?
I have a Krups 10 cup coffee maker with the water filter in it. I have bought Dunkin, Starbucks, etc. & still cannot get that full flavor like they do. I follow the directions on the bags as far as the ratio of grounds to water. I would love any hints or help. Thanks!
A: Probably, But I don't drink coffee.
Q: How much coffee beans do I need to grind for a 10-cup coffee pot?
A friend gave me a coffee grinder but I have no idea how much whole beans to grind for a 10-cup coffee maker.
A: A good starting point is 1/2 cup coffee for 10 six oz cups of coffee. This is the recommendation on most coffee cans or bricks you buy in the store. You can then adjust the amount by adding a little more or a little less next time you brew depending if you want your coffee a little stronger or weaker. Everyone has slightly different tastes.
Happy brewing.
Q: Looking for a Black Braun Aromaster K400 10 cup coffee maker (they're discontinued) - Help! Thanks!?
Braun has discontinued this great coffee maker - I am hoping that someone has one in backstock or has one they've never used. I appreciate the help! If you only have a white one, I'd be interested, but I prefer the black.
Thanks so much!
A: ebay
Q: How many scoops of Folgers Coffee should I put in the coffee maker using 10 cups of water?
I put in just a lil over 1 scoop, is that ok?
I am using the scoop that comes with the Folgers coffee container.
A: Do 2 scoops
Q: 10 Cup Coffee Grinder and Thermal what recipes?
We have a stainless steel coffee maker. Are there any good recipes I can make?
The coffee maker is made by Cuisinart
I like sweet,
Or am I an expresso person?
A: There's a mexican coffee you can make.
-start with a cup of medium-dark arabica beans. Grind them fresh.
-add 2/3 c. packed brown sugar to the coffee pot.
-add 10 broken whole cloves to the ground coffee.
-add several broken cinnamon sticks to the ground coffee.
Brew.
Make sure to add cream and sugar to taste.
Enjoy.
Q: Does anyone know where I can find a 10 cup measuring pitcher for a coffee maker.?
A: If the coffee maker is fairly new, you can get replacement carafes at the same store where you bought the coffee maker. It's important to get the same brand you had before, because a different one might not fit properly. It needs to be the right height to push the button that releases the coffee, and the hole in the top needs to line up with the spout where the coffee comes out.
Q: Why can't one find a 6 cup automatic coffee maker.?
All coffee makers are either 4 - 10 - or 12 cups. I would like a 6 cup automatic coffee maker.
A: I have never saw a 6 cup one, I have a 4 cup one which amounts to about 2 and a half cups of coffee.
Q: Does anyone know how to get a Cooks (2125) Coffee Maker to brew more than just 2 cups of coffee? holds 10 cups
I have a new Cooks (from JC Penney) Thermal Coffee Maker (model # 2125) and I've just got it out of the box and I'm trying to use it for the first time and it says to run a full pot of water through it first. I filled it up with water and then set it and it's only running for 2 cups and then it stops even though it's got a full 10 cups of water in it.
I've read the directions 100 times and I'm at a lost. The only thing I can think of is that it has to have coffee in it to run the entire amount of water through, but I've never in my life had to do this with any other coffee maker. I've tried this on the manual start and the timer start...no luck either way. Most of the time it just runs for about 30 seconds or so and shuts off.
Any help? Advice? I greatly appreciate it!
A: This machine sounds like an old Bunn setup we use to use. Is it supposed to start running water thru a filter filled with coffee as soon as you pour more water into the top???. If so, you have to pour in a full pot, turn it on and let it set. That's when the element comes on and heats the water you just poured in. When you pour in more water, the hot water that was in the tank is pushed out over the coffee in the filter and holder, making your fresh coffee immediately. If it's not that type of machine, either email or IM me and I'll try to work it out with you.
Q: How do I descale a coffe maker?
I believe it's time to do that - there are water stains inside the water-reservoir. It's a regular no-frills drip coffee maker, 10 cup capacity. How do I descale? Thanks!
A: You have to use a special product. "Clear Flow" for instance.
Q: COFFEE POT cleaning TIP for this single guy?
Ok, I've got this Sears "Counter Craft" 10-cup drip coffee maker that I've had for years and use practically every day....
I've noticed it girgles a little more than it used to and takes a lot longer to complete a pot of cafe'.
So what's a guy to do...it probably needs something like a car does when the radiator gets clogged...some sort of flush or cleaner to clean out the built-up calcium inside....
What to do?
Thanks for any tips.
Ok great...
so far it seems like distilled vinegar is the weapon of choice....
sounds easy enough.
A: fill half the pot with vinegar and fill the rest with water - run it through like you would coffee - after that just run 2 or 3 pots of water to flush out all the vinegar. That should clear everything up.
(white distilled vinegar - usually found in the aisle with flour, sugar, baking soda, spices)
Q: Who makes a good quality (auto-drip) coffee maker?
My sweetie wants to get a new machine. Who makes a decent coffee maker? Probably a 4 or 10 cup model with an auto-shutoff timer. Something without teflon on it would be preferred, with the new awareness that it can cause cancer (right?).
The teflon is on the model we are currently using. When the coffee spilled on the heater plate, it caused the teflon to corrode and chip, and I would prefer to drink coffee, not teflon chips! ;)
A: Whatever you get don't buy a Hamilton Beach Brew Station. They're junk. Mine lasted a whole month before it started leaking. The coffee comes through the filter, runs out the spout and all over my counter top. I've had electric can openers that have lasted longer than this thing. Even my Mr. Coffee last about five months. I'm going back to the old-fashioned way of making it on the stove. I'm tired of being ripped off.
Q: Should hot or cold water go into a coffemaker?
My wife and I are in total disagreement over this. I say that hot water should go into the coffeemaker as this takes a load off the heating elements and ultimately saves electricity that would be used for heating otherwise cold water.
My wife says that cold water should be used because putting hot water in there would cause the elements to short out due to the shortened heating time.
My mother-in-law says we're stupid and we shouldn't squabble over it. She doesn't give a damn what kind of water goes in there as long as there's a cup of coffee in it for her.
We are using a Bunn 10-cup coffee maker. Incidentally, we posed this question to Bunn and they would not give an answer to it.
This is a question where the stakes are high. If I am right, then she-who-must-be-obeyed will wash and wax the car. If she is right, then I must massage her feet with warmed strawberry scented mineral oil.
So who is right???
A: Always use cold water. The coffee maker heats the water to the perfect temp and when using hot water, this can not be done properly. Don't ever use hot water from the tap, it has been sitting in your hot water tank and is not suitable for drinking or using in cooking.
Q: How to make the perfect pot of coffee???
I want to make the perfect pot of coffee - I usually use Starbucks ground and have a 10 cup maker. The directions say something about 3 tsp. per 6 oz. but that is WAY too strong. Can anyone tell me how to make the best 10 cup pot of coffee using Tablespoons? I don't want it too weak or strong. Thanks!
A: The Barefoot Contessa (cooking program) says to use 1 tablespoon of grounds per 2 cups of water, so 5 tbsp for 10 cups water...Use the best grounds you can and good water. I've tried it and think it works out really great!! Good luck!!
